FAQ

The questions we get asked most.

Don't see yours? Give us a call — we're happy to talk through it.

Are you licensed and insured?

+

Yes. Brook Tree Service LLC carries general liability and workers' compensation. We'll send you a certificate of insurance any time you ask — most homeowners ask, and we don't mind a bit.

How much does tree removal cost?

+

It depends on the tree's size, species, location, and what's around it — a 40-foot pine in a wide-open field is a very different job than the same pine wedged between a house and a power line. We come out, look at the work, and give you a written estimate before any cutting happens.

Do you give free estimates?

+

Yes — on-site estimates are free. If the job is straightforward and you can send us photos, we can often quote it without a visit.

How fast can you come out?

+

For non-emergency work we usually schedule within a week or two. For storm calls and tree-on-house emergencies, we get there as fast as the weather and crew let us — call (256) 735-9723.

Do you handle stump grinding too?

+

Yes. We can grind stumps as part of a removal job (often same-day), or come out for stump-only work if you've got leftovers from a previous job.

Do you haul off the wood and brush?

+

Standard practice is to chip the brush and haul it off and cut the trunk wood into firewood lengths stacked where you want it. If you want all the wood gone too, let us know in the estimate.

Do you work with insurance?

+

Absolutely. For storm damage and tree-on-structure claims we document everything (before, during, and after photos), itemize the work, and send paperwork your adjuster can process without back-and-forth.

What payment methods do you accept?

+

Cash, check, and most major cards. Payment is due on completion — you don't pay until you can walk the property and confirm you're happy.

Will my grass survive?

+

We protect the lawn with plywood and tarps where we're dragging logs or running equipment. On most jobs you won't see any sign we were there once the chips are off.

Do you do commercial or municipal work?

+

Yes — we work with HOAs, churches, schools, farms, and commercial property managers. We can provide W-9, certificate of insurance, and detailed invoicing.

What areas do you serve?

+

We're based in Cullman and cover most of Cullman County plus surrounding towns: Cullman, Hanceville, Vinemont, Holly Pond, Good Hope, Joppa, Dodge City, Garden City, and beyond. If you're outside that list, call — we travel for bigger jobs.

Can I just send you a photo?

+

Yes — text a photo of the tree to (256) 735-9723 along with your address and we'll get back to you with next steps. For complicated jobs we'll still want to come walk the property.
